Of course, it is useful if you speak a foreign language correctly, but in fact, grammatically correct language is not always the most important factor in successful communication. Far more important are the hidden codes and messages in the foreign language. The success or failure of your dealings with foreign partners will depend mainly on your intercultural competence and how you implement this when using the foreign language. For this reason, intercultural competence is one of the aims of all elc training programmes right from the start.
Intercultural Competence in English - ICE is a compact training programme developed by elc in cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Saarland and offered by partners in Germany and Austria. You can find more information here.
